CBR1000RR Fireblade Hugger Extension and Z1000SX Hugger Extension Now Available
Pyramid have just recently introduced two new Hugger Extensions for the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade 2008 - 2013 and the Kawasaki Z1000SX 2011 onwards.
These accessories represent the first models of a new accessory range aimed at motorcycle riders who prefer the looks of the existing Hugger but want a little more protection from spray thrown up by the rear tyre.
The Hugger Extensions do not require you to purchase a full Hugger, instead focusing on the original Hugger that was installed by Honda and Kawasaki on their bikes respectively.
The Hugger extensions are akin to the Extenda Fendas. They are made from "lookalike" materials similar to the original Honda and Kawasaki Huggers.
The Z1000SX Hugger Extension Fitted
The Hugger Extensions as a product range only require one modification to the original Honda or Kawasaki Hugger, which is a hole drilled through the existing manufacturer Hugger. The Hugger Extensions are held in place by a bolt, although to form a seal and tight fight as well as providing further fitment the Hugger extensions come supplied with a pre-attached adhesive tape. Simply peel the backing away from the adhesive, align properly with the existing manufacturer Hugger and press the Hugger Extension into place. The Hugger Extension should never be left attached to the motorcycle without proper fitting using the supplied nut and bolt.
